Delhi School of Communication invites applications for XXth two years Post Graduate Programme in Communication for the year 2014

Applications are now invited by The Delhi School of Communication for the XXth two years Post Graduate Programme in Communication. The programme offers dual qualification under the degree of Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) and Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Communication (PGDPC) accredited by Jodhpur National University. The programme has duly been approved from UGC and AICTE, both.

This integrated marketing communication program was started in the year 1995 and has earned a good reputation since then. The students identify the course as the most coveted of all the courses on communications. DSC has kept it comprehensive by including Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising and Digital Marketing. The industry leaders and academicians have unanimously found the course a good match to the industry vide requirements.

DSC integrates the programme well with work exposure via internships. The students are provided apprenticeships on a part-time basis for a period of 3 to 6 months and internships on a regular basis for a period of 4 months. This allows the students to enrich the experience with a good practical exposure and earn attractive incentives alongside. DSC also succeeds in placing its students with the leading agencies such as Genesis BM, Mudra, Edelman, JWT, Perfect Relations and McCann. Mostly the placements are done 3 months before the completion of the course.

DSC has outlined requirements on the admission process:-

  • Graduates and students completing their graduation in 2014 are eligible to apply for the programme
  • The students can download the Application form and prospectus from the DSC’s  official web-portal – www.dsc.edu.in/admissionprocess
  • The students need to clear the CAT/MAT/ATMA examination or the DSC’s internal examination
  • The internal examination is 1 ½ hours long test of the candidate’s writing, logic and reasoning skills
  • The test also tests the candidate’s understanding of media and advertising.
  • The internal examination is followed by ½ hour test of the emotional, psychological and cognitive abilities of the individual
  • The personality test comes last on the admission test for the programme
