University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D in Women’s Studies Program 2014

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Women’s Studies offered at Women’s Studies Research Centre for 2014-15.

Eligibility Conditions

• Master’s degree with specialization in the parent discipline are eligible to apply.

How to Apply

• Candidates should apply in the prescribed form downloaded from www.caluniv.ac.in along with an application fee of Rs.100/- (by cash) through a challan obtainable from the cash counter, Alipur campus.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance test and interview conducted by the university.
• Candidates who have already passed M.Phil/UGC/CSIR (JRF) examinations/ NET/ SET/ SLET/ teacher fellowship or equivalent examinations need not appear at the written examination and can directly apply to appear at the interview.

Important Dates

• Last date for submission of application form: 17^th Oct, 2014.
• Date of entrance test: 31^st Oct, 2014.
• Declaration of result: 10^th Nov, 2014.
• Date of interview: 28^th Nov, 2014.
• Declaration of final result: 5^th Dec, 2014.
