Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati Invites Applications for Admission into PhD program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into PhD program in the following department under regular/sponsored & self-financed (full-time)/part-time/project staff/external categories for the session December 2014.

• Computer Science & Engineering
• Electronics & Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Chemical Engineering

Eligibility Conditions

• Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medical Sciences/ Veterinary Sciences/ Pharmacy in a relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks.
  
  
• Four-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Medical Sciences or equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70% of marks.
  
  
• A candidate having a four-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Science in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70% of marks is also considered for admission.

• The institute reserves the right to call a limited number of candidates for written test and/or interview/portfolio review, if required, based on performance in GATE/NET/CEED/INSPIRE, grades/marks in the qualifying examination, etc.
