BITS Mesra MCA 2014,last date to apply 30th Apr now

Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, has extended the last date of application for its full-time three-year MCA (Master of Computer Applications) course. The MCA programme is available at the BITS Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur and Noida campuses in addition to the Mesra campus. The MCA course is divided into six semesters. Admission will be based on online entrance exam to be held on May 31, 2014 and June 1, 2014. The earlier last date of application has been extended from April 25, 2014 to April 30, 2014.

Kolkata: 55 seats
Lalpur: 120 seats
Noida: 60 seats

Eligibility Conditions

Candidate should have scored minimum 60 per cent aggregate marks at Class 10 (or equivalent) level
Candidate should have scored minimum 60 per cent aggregate marks at Class 12 (or equivalent) level
Candidate should have completed graduation in any of the following fields: Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), or B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics, or B.Sc. with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at graduate level.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be selected for the MCA course based on their marks in the online entrance test (70 per cent weightage), Class 10 (10 per cent weightage) Class 12 (10 per cent weightage) and Graduation (10 per cent weightage).

Paper Pattern

The MCA online entrance test consists of 120 multiple choice questions to be completed in two hours. The questions are divided into four sections: Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and English.

How to apply

Application for admission is to be completed in two steps. First fill in the application form available online and print and submit the available E-Challan in the amount of application fees. Send a hard copy of completed application form with required documents to the given address to complete admission.
