Civil Services 2014 Mains on 14th Dec, 2014

UPSC Civil Services Mains, 2014 will held on 14^th Dec. The detailed application form DAF for all the preliminary-qualified students will be available on the website of the commission from 28^th Oct, 2014 till to 11^th Nov, 2014.

The mains examination will be a written test with a total of 1750 marks. Candidates clearing the mains examination will be called for the personal interview.

Pattern Of the Civil Service Main Exam will be as follows:

1. Paper 1 – Essay: It is of 250 marks, which can be written in any medium or language of candidate's choice.
2. Paper 2 - General Studies-I: The paper is of 250 marks involving Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society
3. Paper 3 - General Studies –II: The paper is of 250 marks involving Technology, Economic Development, Bio-diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management
4. Paper 4 - General Studies -III :The paper is of 250 marks involving Technology, Economic Development, Bio?diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management
5. Paper 5 - General Studies –IV: The paper is of 250 marks involving Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude
6. Paper 6 - Optional Subject - Paper 1 of 250 marks
7. Paper 7 - Optional Subject - Paper 2 of 250 marks
