PPSC declared result of PCS 2012 Mains exam

Public Service Commission on Thursday declared the results of the PCS Mains Exam 2012.

Of the 1,850 candidates who appeared in the examination, 473 candidates have been shortlisted for interview.

PPSC will hold physical fitness tests for the posts of deputy superintendent of police on September 21 and 22, and the interviews shall be conducted from September 24 onwards.

The commission had conducted the test to fill 160 seats, including 30 in Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch), 20 posts of deputy superintendent of police, 30 of excise and taxation officer, nine of tehsildar, 25 of food supply and consumer affairs officer, 28 of block development and panchayat officer, 11 of assistant registrar co-operative societies, and seven posts of employment generation and training officer.
