B.A. Bengali or Bachelor of Arts in Bengali is an undergraduate three years degree course and it provides comprehensive knowledge about the Bangla language and its literature. In other words, B.A. (Bengali) course covers studies of the Bengali literature, grammar and poetry. Students are selected usually on the basis of their marks in 10+2. Some Universities also conducted entrance test. Bengali Language is native to the eastern part of India mainly West Bengal and neighbouring states as well as Bangladesh. Besides native of West Bangal and that of Bangladesh people of union territory Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India and some of Middle East Asia countries namely, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait also speak Bengali. 

B.A. Bengali Eligibility 

  • Aspiring students should have passed H.S.C. examinations (10+2) from a recognized Education Board with Science, Arts or Commerce stream with Bengali language can opt for.
  • Generally 50% of marks are required but the percentage may vary from state to state and from institute to institute.
