B.A. Hons. Punjabi or Bachelor of Arts Hons in Punjabi is an undergraduate Punjabi language course. Punjabi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by inhabitants of the historical Punjab region (north western India and in north eastern Pakistan). In B.A. Hons. in Punjabi main emphasis is given on its origin, social aspects, literature, grammar, etc along with that how its literature developed with the contribution of many contemporary writers, poets, singers and by other cultural loving people. B.A. is generally three academic year degree course and it may be provided on part time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus of B.A. Hons. (Punjabi) is divided into six semesters. The students having passed this course have a lot of career scopes especially in Punjabi dominating areas both in India and outside it.

B.A. (Hons.) Punjabi Eligibility

  • The candidates should complete their 10+2 or its equivalent exam in Arts stream.
  • The marks of admission for this course may vary from college to college.
