B.A. (Hons.) Sanskrit or Bachelor of Arts Honors in Sanskrit is an undergraduate Sanskrit language course. Sanskrit is a historical Indo-Aryan language and the primary liturgical language of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. B.A. Hons. in Sanskrit is chiefly about Sanskrit language and its literature. B.A. is generally three academic year degree course and it may be provided on part time basis by certain institutes. The curriculum is divided into three parts and eight papers. The Sanskrit graduate has many career scopes in India as they can join schools; colleges and run their own other educational units.

- The candidates should complete their 10+2 or its equivalent exam in Arts stream Sanskrit as one of the subjects.
