B.Sc. (Hons.) Optometry and Ophthalmic Techniques or Bachelor of Science Honors in Optometry and Ophthalmic Techniques is an undergraduate Optometry course. Optometry and Ophthalmic Techniques is a health care profession, using modern technologies, concerned with eyes and related structures, as well as vision, visual systems, and vision information processing in humans. Bachelor of Science Honors in Optometry and Ophthalmic Techniques is generally three academic year course. IGNOU, Delhi is providing in four years in regular and maximum period of six years to complete the program. It may be provided on part time basis by certain institutes. The duration of the course is four years and it is valuable and job orienting in nature which opens many options after its completion for the students.

  • The candidates should complete their 10+2 or its equivalent exam in Science stream with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 45% marks in the aggregate.
