Bachelor of Science Honours in Prosthetic and Orthrotics
| Duration: | 3 Years |
| Level: | Graduation |
| Type: | Degree |
| Eligibility: | 10+2 |
B.Sc. ((Hons.) (Prosthetic and Orthrotics)) or Bachelor of Science in (Hons.) (Prosthetic and Orthrotics) is a three year graduate programme. Prosthetists and orthotists deal with the assessment, diagnosis and management of the whole of the body. Prosthetists provide artificial limbs (prostheses) to people who have all or part of a natural limb missing. Orthotists provide supportive braces and splints (orthoses) to people with various conditions of the limbs or spine. Prosthetists and orthotists work with people of all ages and with different requirements. The programme combines the study of the human body with the effects of forces on the body (biomechanics), and the materials and methods used in making prostheses and orthoses. On the course you will learn how to assess, diagnose and treat people requiring prosthetic and orthotic care. The strong practical emphasis will be taught in conjunction with relevant theory and background information.
Bachelor of Science in (Hons.) (Prosthetic and Orthrotics) Eligibility
- A candidate who has passed 10+2 with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC / ST candidate)or any other equivalent qualification.
- Some of the very reputed universities and institutes conduct entrance examination to get admission to the degree course.
