BSc Mathematical Science or Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Science is an Under-Graduate Mathematics course. Mathematical science is a broad term that refers to those academic disciplines that are primarily mathematical in nature but may not be universally considered subfields of mathematics proper. The first year provides the foundation of Mathematics and Statistics. The second year further develops the fundamental tools of Mathematics and Statistics. Third-year allows specialization into the streams of Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics.

Graduates may find employment in industry and commerce, government establishments, public service, teaching and research. The duration of the  Bachelor of Science course in Mathematical Science is three years and the syllabus for the course is divided into six semesters. The Bachelor of Science degree course in Mathematical Science is an important and career-orienting one that opens many job scopes for the candidates after its successful completion.

BSc Mathematical Science Eligibility

  • The candidates should have passed their 10+2 examination in the Science stream or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • The candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent at their Intermediate level.
