B.Sc. Post Harvest Technology or Bachelor of Science in Post Harvest Technology is an undergraduate Agriculture Science and Technology course. It covers post-harvest technology involving all treatments or processes that occur from time of harvesting until the foodstuff reaches the final consumer. Also including efficient techniques for harvesting, conveying, transportation, handling, storage, processing, preservation, packaging, etc are components of the post-harvest chain. The duration of B.Sc. in Post Harvest Technology is generally three academic years and the minimum time to complete the course is three years also. Course is available in full time and may be provided on part time basis by certain institutes. The course syllabus is divided into eight semesters.
B.Sc. Post Harvest Technology Eligibility
- The candidates should complete their 10+2 or its equivalent exam in Science stream.
- The marks of admission for this course may vary from college to college. In various colleges it conducts entrance exams and percentage of 12th class for the admission of students.
