B.Tech Food Science or Bachelor of Technology in Food Science is an Under-Graduate Food Technology course. Food Sciences is the study of the nature of foods and the changes that occur in them naturally and as a result of handling and processing. Also, Food Science is the study concerned with all technical aspects of food, beginning with harvesting or slaughtering, and ending with its cooking and consumption.

The Bachelor of Technology program in Food Science focuses on the application of biological, chemical, and physical principles to the study of converting raw agricultural products into processed forms suitable for direct human consumption, and the storage of such products. The Bachelor of Technology course in Food Science includes instruction in applicable aspects of the agricultural sciences, human physiology and nutrition, food chemistry, agricultural product processing, food additives, food preparation and packaging, food storage and shipment, and related aspects of human health and safety including toxicology and pathology.
