B.Tech Mainframe Technology or Bachelor of Technology in Mainframe Technology is an Under-Graduate Information Technology course. A mainframe, sometimes known as a "big iron," is a high-performance computer used for large-scale computing tasks that need more availability and security than a smaller-scale system can provide. Mainframes have traditionally been associated with centralized rather than distributed computing, however, this difference is becoming increasingly blurred as smaller computers get more powerful and mainframes become more multi-purpose. IBM now stresses the ability of its mainframes to service dispersed customers and smaller servers in a computing network. The Mainframe Technology course lasts four years and is divided into eight semesters.

B.Tech Mainframe Technology Eligibility

  • Aspirants must have passed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as one of their primary courses, as well as have necessary and basic computer expertise.
  • Candidates must have received a minimum of 60% aggregate marks at the Intermediate level.
