M.A. Cultural Studies or Master of Arts in Cultural Studies is a postgraduate Religious Study course. Cultural Studies is the relationship between culture and meaning, beginning with the premise that culture is neither neutral nor natural.  In the Cultural Studies Program, faculty and students interrogate how meaning is produced and consumed in the process of constructing and inhabiting a culture. The course provides an intensive study in cultural theory and in substantive cultural studies. Course in cultural studies, students commonly explore the formations, roles, struggles and changes within and among cultures. Students usually have the option to customize their coursework according to their interests, for example, they might participate in classes and research projects related to film analysis, oral history or archival studies. The duration of this program is two years.
