M.A. Hindi or Master of Arts in Hindi is a postgraduate Hindi language course. In this degree course, the main emphasis is given on the Hindi literature’s overall aspects. Hindi literature is broadly divided into four prominent forms or styles, being Bhakti (devotional - Kabir, Raskhan); Shringar (beauty - Keshav, Bihari); Veer-Gatha (extolling brave warriors); and Adhunik (modern). The minimum duration of Master of Arts in Hindi is two years and that of maximum is five years. It may be offered by some institutes on a part-time basis as well. M.A. (Hindi) in a job-oriented course; after its completion, the candidates can find opportunities in various spheres.
