M.Com. (Accounting and Auditing) Master of Commerce in Accounting and Auditing
M.Com. Accounting & Auditing or Master of Commerce in Accounting & Auditing is a postgraduate Accounts course. The program includes micro and macroeconomics, business commerce, export and import policies. Some other topics are like economic theory, money systems, banking systems and principles of accounting. Specialization subjects are Statistics, Taxation, Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Banking, and Insurance. The duration of the course is two years and its syllabus is divided into four semesters. The Master degree course is an important and job offering in nature that opens many career scopes for the candidates after its successful completion.
M.Com. Accounting & Auditing Eligibility
Any candidate who has passed B.Com. or B.B.A. (earlier B.B.S.) degree of University of Calicut or B.Com., B.B.A. or B.B.M. or B.B.S .degree of any other University or Institute in any state recognized by UGC or AICTE with a minimum or 45% marks is eligible for admission.
OBC and SC / ST students are eligible for relaxation as per University rules.
Degree holders who are willing for further higher studies and career in various specializations of Commerce such as in Statistics, Taxation, Accounting & Finance, Banking, Insurance and many more are good match for the course.
Applicants should have an aptitude for mathematics and be able to analyze, compare and interpret facts and figures quickly.
Candidates must be able to communicate well, have an eye for detail and familiarity with computerized accounting packages is a great asset for present generation auditors.
They must be able to work as a team, have high standards of integrity and accuracy as major decisions are made based on financial statements given by them.

A student can apply for the UGC-NET or JRF exam. After these exams, they can go for teaching or research area.
