M.Des or Master of Design is a two-year Post-Graduate Fashion and Interior Designing program. Fashion design is the art of the application of design and aesthetics or natural beauty to clothing and accessories. Fashion design is influenced by cultural and social latitudes and has varied over time and place. The Master of Design course will enable you to apply advanced theory and practice to your chosen specialism.

As a student, you'll explore original conceptual design principles and methodologies in response to global fashion needs. The Master of Design will enable you to create, develop and manage your portfolio and present a finished product, collection, or prototype which demonstrates research and technical design prowess. You will be able to develop your thinking and skills in the following areas such as research skills for fashion, experimental practice, construction techniques and materials, product development, CAD for Fashion, capsule collections, and fashion portfolio skills.

Master of Design Eligibility

  • Aspiring students must have completed their Graduation such as a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • The candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in their Bachelor's.
  • Some of the very reputed institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission.
