Eligibility

Graduation

ME Geotechnical Engineering or Master of Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering is a two-year Post-Graduate Civil Engineering course. Geotechnical engineering uses principles of soil mechanics and rock mechanics to investigate subsurface conditions and materials determine the relevant physical/mechanical and chemical properties of these materials evaluate the stability of natural slopes and man-made soil deposits assess risks posed by site conditions design earthworks and structure foundations and monitor site conditions, earthwork and foundation construction.

The Master of Engineering program in Geotechnical Engineering prepares individuals to apply mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development, and operational evaluation of systems for manipulating and controlling surface and subsurface features at or incorporated into structural sites, including earth and rock, moving and stabilization, landfills, structural use, and environmental stabilization of wastes and by-products, underground construction, and groundwater and hazardous material containment.

ME Geotechnical Engineering Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have passed a BE / B.Tech degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • The students should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate marks at their Graduation level.
  • Some reputed institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission.
