M.E. Industrial Engineering or Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering is a two year post graduate Mechanical Engineering course. Industrial engineering is the branch of engineering dealing with the optimization of complex processes or systems. It is concerned with the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials, analysis and synthesis. Generally, the duration of this course is two years but also it may fluctuate from place to place and also may be provided by some institutes on part time basis. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters and four electives. It opens many career scopes for the candidates after its completion at various places.
