M.E. Petroleum Engineering or Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering is a postgraduate Petroleum engineering course. Petroleum engineering is the discipline that concerned with the activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas. Petroleum Engineering covers many activities from the discovery of natural sources, an examination of the natural characteristics and the development of modern machinery for the extraction and processing of petroleum. M.E. (Petroleum Engineering) is two years duration course but may it may depend on the rules and regulations of the institutes. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters. This degree course is being provided both in the form of M.Tech. and M.E. slightly changes in their syllabus.
