Eligibility

Graduation

ME Product and Machine Design or Master of Engineering in Product and Machine Design is a Post-Graduate Mechanical Engineering program. Machine Design is the process of engineering design which includes computer-aided design and manufacturing. Some of the subjects of study include electrical and electronics, fastening and joining, fluid power, manufacturing, engineered materials, mechanical engineering, and motion control. Students learn advanced principles of mechanical engineering, design, and drafting.

The students should learn how to recognize human needs and develop suitable products by combining technological advances with creative design. Programs generally require students to complete a final design project before graduation. The program mainly focuses on the theory of elasticity and plasticity, the theory of plates and shells, advanced vibrations, finite element analysis, kinematics design, tribology and bearing design, fracture mechanics, experimental stress analysis, etc.

ME Product and Machine Design Eligibility

  • The students must have passed their Graduation such as BE / B.Tech degree or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • The students should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at their Bachelor's.
  • Some of the very reputed institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission.
