M.Phil. Public Administration or Master of Philosophy in Public Administration is a postgraduate Public Administration course. Public Administration is the implementation of government policy and an academic discipline that studies this implementation and prepares civil servants for this work. It is also concerned with the behavior of officials (usually non-elected) formally responsible for their conduct. The duration of M.Phil. Public Administration is mostly of two academic years but it may vary from institute to institute as per their rules and regulations. The syllabus for the course is divided into two semesters. M.Phil. Public Administration Eligibility

  • Aspiring applicants should have passed Master's degree in science, arts or engineering, etc.
  • Candidates need to acquire 55% marks in the subject chosen for M.Phil. course or an allied subject at the postgraduate level to be considered eligible for the course.
  • A written test may be conducted to assess the candidate’s knowledge. Those who qualify in the written test will be required to appear in an interview.
  • The admission procedure and mode of selection for admission to Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) through distance learning, however, may vary from one Institute to another.
