M.Sc Applied Biology or Master of Science in Applied Biology is a postgraduate Biology course. Applied Biology is the science of life and of living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, and distribution. The Master of Science in Applied Biology course includes botany and zoology and all their subdivisions. The Applied Biological sciences program is designed for students with strong interests in how the life sciences interact with the ecosystem and human society.

The subjects that are taught during the course include biological area studies, bioscience streams, bioscience techniques, genetics, genomics, bio and neuroinformatics, biotechnology, green biology, biomedicine, etc.

Through practical activities, students apply knowledge to help solve numerous biological challenges, such as managing sustainable wildlife populations and urban ecosystems, restoring damaged habitats, and finding out how biotechnology can help solve problems related to environmental remediation, alternative energy generation, and other green technologies. The duration of the Master of Science in Applied Biology course is two years and the syllabus for the course is of two semesters.

M.Sc Applied Biology Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed a bachelor's degree with science subjects such as (Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry)
