Applied Microbiology is the branch of biology that deals with microorganisms and their effects on other living organisms. The Master of Science in Applied Microbiology course includes Food & Dairy microbiology, Recombinant DNA Technology, Environmental Microbiology, Microbial Biotechnology, Agricultural Microbiology, Microbial physiology, and Fermentation technology. 

The Master of Science in Applied Microbiology program focused on advanced study in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Food Science, and Independent research work. The program also offers a variety of research fields including Industrial Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Fermentation Technology, Food Science and Technology, and Food Safety and Quality Management. The duration of the Applied Microbiology course is two years and it is job-orienting in nature which opens a lot of scopes for them after its completion.

  • Students should have passed B.Sc (Hons) / B.Sc with 10+2+3 pattern with any two of the following subjects:  Botany; Zool, Biotech, Microbial; Chem; Industrial Microbiol: Life Science; Environmental Science & secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned degree.
