M.Sc. (Astronomy & Space Physics)
Master of Science
| Duration: | 2 Years |
| Level: | Post Graduation |
| Type: | Degree |
| Eligibility: | Graduation |
M.Sc. Astronomy & Space Physics or Master of Science in Astronomy & Space Physics is a postgraduate Astronomy course. Astronomy and Space Physics are among the most rapidly developing field of natural sciences. Program in Astronomy and Space Physics (Astros-pace), provides special qualifications and prepares specialists in astronomy and space physics. Modern astronomy studies planetary systems, stars, galaxies, and the Universe as the whole, using physical methods. The physical conditions of the objects under study are extreme: very high and very low temperatures, high and low densities, ultra-strong magnetic fields and extremely high energies. This unique program allows the students to learn about the physics of various space objects ranging down from galaxies to stars, planetary systems, planets and their atmospheres. The students will take advanced courses in physics of cosmic sources including plasma physics, ionospheric and magnetospheric physics, solar and stellar physics, high-energy astrophysics, observational techniques, and dynamics of space bodies.
M.Sc. Astronomy & Space Physics Eligibility
- B.Sc. or any other equivalent qualification in relevant subject with minimum 60% marks
