Eligibility

Graduation

M.Sc Biomedical Genetics or Master of Science in Biomedical Genetics is a Post-Graduate Biomedical Genetics course. Medical genetics is the specialty of medicine that involves the diagnosis and management of hereditary disorders.

The Master of Science in Biomedical Genetics course differs from human genetics in that human genetics is a field of scientific research that may or may not apply to medicine, but medical genetics refers to the application of genetics to medical care. The study of the etiology, pathogenesis, and natural history of diseases and disorders that are at least partially genetic in origin.

M.Sc Biomedical Genetics Eligibility

  • Candidates must have qualifying Graduation in any branch of Biological Science that includes Botany / Zoology, Microbiology Biotechnology / Nutrition (or) Home Science / Medicine or Professional degrees B.V.Sc / B.Sc Agriculture / MBBS / Graduates in Indian Medicine.
  • Some reputed institutes conduct entrance examinations for admission to the M.Sc (Biomedical Genetics) degree course.
