M.Sc. Botany or Master of Science in Botany is a postgraduate Botany course. Botany or plant biology is a branch of biology that involves the scientific study of plant life. Botany covers a wide range of scientific disciplines concerned with the study of plants, algae and fungi, including structure, growth, reproduction, metabolism, development, diseases, chemical properties, and evolutionary relationships among taxonomic groups. The course covers all the related topics of the study fields. The course syllabus is designed in away it will not only imparts the theoretical but practical training also. The duration of the course is two years and the syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters. The degree course is an important and career orienting in nature that opens many job scopes for the candidates after its completion.
M.Sc. Botany Eligibility
- A candidate who has passed B.Sc. Examination with at least 40% marks in the theory papers at the external examinations will be held eligible for admission to the Master’s degree Course in respective subjects offered by him or her at the Bachelor’s Degree Course in respective subjects offered by him or her at the Bachelor’s Degree.
