M.Sc Clinical Microbiology or Master of Science in Clinical Microbiology is a Post-Graduate Microbiology course. Clinical microbiology is both a branch of medicine and microbiology that deals with the study of microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites which are of medical importance and are capable of causing infectious diseases in human beings.

The Master of Science in Clinical Microbiology course aims to provide a comprehensive theoretical knowledge of medical microbiology including the spread of micro-organisms, disease causation, diagnosis and or treatment of pathogens of major significance to public health, and advanced practical training in this diverse field. The Master of Science in Clinical Microbiology course is two years duration and the syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters. Candidates have a lot of career options after passing it as it is job-orienting in nature.

M.Sc Clinical Microbiology Eligibility

  • They should have passed B.Sc MLT or B.Sc (Medical / Applied Medical Science / Biosciences / Medical Science & Allied Medical / Life Sciences) with 50% aggregate marks or it is equivalent.
  • Admission Criteria are merit in the qualifying examination.
