M.Sc. Clinical Psychology or Master of Science in Clinical Psychology is a postgraduate Psychology course. Clinical psychology is an integration of science, theory and clinical knowledge for the purpose of understanding, preventing, and relieving psychologically-based distress or dysfunction and to promote subjective well-being and personal development. The Clinical Psychology program offers students the option of completing two courses in child and adolescent therapy, or two courses in psychiatric rehabilitation, which focuses on working with adults who have serious mental illnesses. Clinical psychology represents the largest subfield of psychologists. Specialty areas within clinical psychology include child mental health, adult mental health, learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, substance abuse, and geriatrics and health psychology. The duration of the course is two years and it has four semesters syllabus.

M.Sc. Clinical Psychology Eligibility

  • B.Sc. degree or equivalent (Branch Psychology) with minimum 60% marks.
  • Some reputed colleges and institutes do conduct entrance examination to get admission to their M.Sc. Degree course.

  • Those who are able to carry out academic and clinical assessments in family therapy settings, adult health psychology, and psychological assessment of neuropsychological and psychological disorders in adults and children can go for the course.
  • They should have analytical and problem-solving skills such as thinking your way around problems, developing hypotheses and designing experiments to address questions being asked.
  • They must possess the skills like using judgement, decision-making and questioning skills; the ability to identify, select, organise and communicate information and data.
