M.Sc. (Genetics Engineering)
Master of Science in Genetics Engineering

Email

Duration:2 Years
Level:Post Graduation
Type:Degree
Eligibility:Greduation

M.Sc. Genetics Engineering or Master of Science in Genetics Engineering is a postgraduate Genetics Engineering course. Genetic engineering means the direct human manipulation of an organism's genome using modern DNA technology. It involves the introduction of foreign DNA or synthetic genes into the organism of interest. The introduction of new DNA does not require the use of classical genetic methods; however traditional breeding methods are typically used for the propagation of recombinant organisms. The duration of this course may be different form institute to institute but normally it is two years. It may be offered by some institutes on part time basis as well. The course divides into four semesters and job orienting in nature that opens a lot of job scopes for the degree holders after its successful completion.

M.Sc. Genetics Engineering Eligibility

  • An individual can start the B.Tech. course after having passed his/ her 10+2 Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology.
  • Admission to B.Tech. in Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering is made generally through entrance tests.
