Master of Science in Photonics
| Duration: | 2 Years |
| Level: | Post Graduation |
| Type: | Degree |
| Eligibility: | 10+2 |
M.Sc. Photonics or Master of Science in Photonics is a postgraduate Photonics course. Photonics is one of the scientific disciplines which will have great influence in science and technology in the 21st century. Photonics can be defined as a scientific and technological discipline that studies and applies the properties of light and its interaction with material. Photonics plays an essential role in the discovery of new phenomena in nature and in the development of new technologies, and is of key importance in the generation of knowledge as well as in the market of innovative products. The programme covers the following topics such as development of lasers and optical systems; application of lasers for measurement tasks and materials processing; optical communication; optical measurement techniques and microscopy methods; semiconductor technology and micro systems and photovoltaic.
M.Sc. Photonics Eligibility
- Bachelor degree with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA
- Candidates whose results have not been declared but are expecting to pass in the first division can also appear in the entrance test.
- Some of the very reputed universities and institutes conduct entrance examination to get admission to the degree course.
