M.Tech. Geomatics or Master of Technology in Geomatics is a two year post graduate Geology course. Geomatics also known by the name geospatial technology or geomatics engineering is the discipline of gathering, storing, processing, and delivering geographic information, or spatially referenced information. M.Tech. in Geomatics is two years programme and it may be more or less from place to place. The syllabus for course is divided into four semesters on full time basis and Anna University is also providing it on distance basis. The course opens many career scopes for the candidates after its successful completion.

- B.E./ B.Tech. in relevant subject with 60% or equivalent CGPA.

- The course is beneficial as it increases the knowledge of the students when they use data from a range of sources, such as aerial photography, satellite surveys and laser beam measuring systems; using computer-aided design (CAD) and other IT software to interpret data and present information.
- Candidates can work in an office setting using field data and aerial photographs or satellite imagery to create computer based maps and drawings, develop Geographic Information Systems or perform surveying related calculations.
