M.Tech. Turbo Machines or Master of Technology in Turbo Machines is a postgraduate Mechanical Engineering programme. Turbomachinery, in mechanical engineering, describes machines that transfer energy between a rotor and a fluid, including both turbines and compressors. This course focuses on defining the systems and subsystems that form the turbomachinery, the potential problems with these systems and subsystems, monitoring techniques for early detection of problems, and methods to analyse the monitored variables to detect potential problems or reconstruct reasons for failures. The duration of the course is two years and it is career orienting in nature.
