AIEEE 2014 All India Engineering Entrance Examination is one of the most sort after  Engineering Entrance Exams held in India. It is conducted for admission to Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Pharmacy degree courses in various engineering colleges and institutes spread all over India.

AIEEE is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in compliance with the directives of the Government of India (GOI). A centralized counseling system is provided for filling up the available seats all over India.

AIEEE Eligibility
 

The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE Entrance Exam is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent.

Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE.

For B.E. and B.Tech courses through AIEEE one needs to have physics and Mathematics and any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Biology.

For B.Arch. or B. Planning one needs to have mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 % marks in aggregate at 10+2 level.

AIEEE Syllabus

The AIEEE consists of questions from the following subjects/topics:

Mathematics

Unit 1: Sets, Relations And Functions.
Unit 2: Complex Numbers And Quadratic Equations.
Unit 3: Matrices And Determinants.
Unit 4: Permutations And Combinations.
Unit 5: Mathematical Induction.
Unit 6: Binomial Theorem And Its Simple Applications.
Unit 7: Sequences And Series.
Unit 8: Limit, Continuity And Differentiability.
Unit 9: Integral Calculus.
Unit 10: Differential Equations.
Unit 11: Co-Ordinate Geometry. (i) Straight Lines. (ii)Circles, Conic Sections:
Unit 12: Three Dimensional Geometry
Unit 13: Vector Algebra:
Unit 14: Statistics and Probability.
Unit 15: Trigonometry.
Unit 16: Mathematical Reasoning.

Physics

The syllabus contains two Sections - A and B.

Section - A pertains to the Theory Part having 80% weight age.
Section - B contains Practical Component (Experimental Skills) having 20% weight age.

Aptitude

Part I
Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials, Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build environment. Visualising three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings. Visualizing . different sides of three dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning, Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).

Part II
Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil.

AIEEE paper consists of two papers

Paper 1 of three hours duration consisting of questions from:-

  • Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
  • Objective type questions with equal weight age to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

AIEEE Exam fee

  • The cost of Information Bulletin inclusive of examination and counselling fee for BE/B.Tech only or B.Arch/ B.Planning only is Rs.450 for General and OBC candidates and Rs.225 for SC/ST.candidates.

  • Candidates appearing for both BE/B.Tech and B.Arch/B.Planning together should send their application form along with additional fee in the form of Demand Draft of Rs.300 for General & OBC candidates and Rs.150 for SC/ST candidates in favour of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/ New Delhi.

  • For candidates opting examination centre in foreign country, the examination and counselling fees for appearing in BE/B Tech only or B Arch/B Planning only is Rs.1000 for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates that includes counselling fee. They should send additional fees @ Rs.550 for General and OBC Category & Rs.275 for SC & ST Category in the form of demand draft in favour of Secretary, C.B.S.E payable at Delhi/New Delhi.

  • Those who want to appear both BE/B.Tech & B. Arch/B Planning together they should send their application form along with additional fee in the form of demand Draft of Rs.1550 for General and OBC candidates and Rs.775 for SC/ST candidates in favour of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/New Delhi.
