DA-IICT - Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology Entrance Exam

DA-IICT 2013 Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology acronym as DA-IICT - a UGC recognised university- is a major educational and research institution of the Reliance ADAG. It inducts aspirants in the Four – Year B.Tech Program on the basis of the merit attained by the candidates in the AIEEE. The Institute also offers master’s and doctoral level programs. DA-IICT is one the coveted Engineering Entrance Exams in India and one the better known Entrance Exams after 12th.

DA-IICT Eligibility

Educational Qualification:

For appearing in these Engineering Entrance Exams, aspiring candidates should be a pass in the 12th standard or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science.

Age:

Candidates wishing to appear in Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology Entrance Exam should be born on or after 01 October 1988 for admission in 2012.

DA-IICT Admission Process

The candidates have to appear in AIEEE being conducted by CBSE in April of the respective year and submit a separate application to DA-IICT in the prescribed application form. Short-listed candidates will be called for counseling at DA-IICT and selection for admission will be based on the All India rank of AIEEE.

However a limited number of seats will be offered through a separate channel called Direct Admission of Foreign and NRI students (DAFS) to Non-Resident Indians, foreign nationals and persons of Indian origin.

DA-IICT Applicatoin Fee and Mode of Payment

The DA-IICT application form will be made available:

• At selected branches of Axis bank (formerly UTI bank), as given below, by paying Rs 1000/- i.e sending a demand draft of Rs.1050 to the Institute, the draft should be in favour of DA-IICT and payable at Ahmedabad
• Apply online at http://www.daiict.ac.in by making an online payment (through credit card) of Rs. 1000

Important: DA-IICT offers merit and merit-cum-means scholarships for B.Tech students. In each category up to five students are awarded scholarships equivalent to full tuition fees

• M.Tech (Information and Communication Technology)
  Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc in ICT/CS/IT/EE/ECE/I&C or equivalent
• M.Sc (Information Technology)
  Eligibility: Graduates of any discipline as given in the website
• M.Sc (ICT in Agriculture and Rural development)
  Eligibility: Bachelor in Agriculture or allied disciplines
• M.Des (Communication Design)
  Eligibility: 4 years degree/diploma after 10+2
• Doctor of Philosophy
  Eligibility: M.Tech/M.Phil/B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc/MCA/MS or equivalent

Selection process for the above given PG courses is as follows:

Admission to M.Tech (ICT) program will be based on valid GATE score. Candidates for other PG programs will be selected through an entrance test and/or interview at select cities. Detailed procedure is available at DA-IICT website

How to apply for the PG programmes run by DA-IICT?

A candidate can submit an application either online (preferably) or offline. The application fee is Rs.1000 (online) and Rs.1050 if a candidate downloads the form and sends the hard-copy. In both cases, the draft needs to be sent by courier/registered post

Important: Candidates admitted to M.Tech would be eligible to get Teaching Assistantship of Rs.7,500 per month. Candidates admitted to Ph.D program will be eligible for a stipend varying from Rs.12,000 to Rs.25,000 per month.
