What is JET?
Joint Entrance Test acronym as JET is the test taken to get admission in one of the Diploma Engineering colleges of the state of Punjab and Chandigarh.

What is the eligibility for taking JET exam?
A candidate has to be Matriculate to take this test.

What are the contents of the exam?
Main content of the JET are as follow up to matric level.
English
Metal Ability
Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics

What is the pattern of the Exam?
JET is an objective type test with multiple-choice answers. The test is designed to measure a person’s general aptitudes as the following table indicates:

There is negative marking for each wrong answer ie is 25% of the right answer.

When this exam is normally held?
JET is usually conducted in the month of May..

What is the examination fee for taking the exam?
At Present the cost of a JET Prospectus is Rs.250/- by cash and 500/- the fee.

What are the test centers for taking the exam?
JET is conducted in all major cities in the Punjab along with Chandigarh

JET 2010

Prospectus of JET-2010 shall be available in the 1st week of March, in the Polytechnic Institutions as well as Branches of Punjab National Bank and H.D.F.C. Bank throughout Punjab.

Date of Conduct of JET : 22-May-2010 (Saturday)

Eligibility Condition:

Educational Qualification :- 10 th class or equivalent from a recognised board.

The test may be held at all district headquarters and other important towns of Punjab, Chandigarh and other neighbouring states.
