HR PMT - Haryana Pre-Medical Test

Haryana PMT 2013 -  Haryana Pre Medical Test acronym as HR PMT is an entrance test conducted by Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak for admission in all the affiliated private and government medical and dental colleges to bachelor’s degree medical and dental courses, i.e. M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. / B.A.M.S. in the medical and dental institutes of the University.

There are 10 medical and dental institutes in Haryana in which admission is done through Haryana PMT. Of these two of the institutes provide MBBS - Government Medical College, Rohtak and Pd. Bhagwan Dayal Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences. There are five institutes which provide B.D.S. and three which provide BAMS.

Haryana PMT Eligibility

Educational Qualification:

Candidates aspiring to appear in this Pre Medical Exam should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% aggregate marks in PCB (40% for SC/ST/OBC).

Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in the respective year can also apply.

For BAMS a candidate should have also passed in Sanskrit as a core elective subject.

Age Limits

Aspiring candidates must have attained the age of 17 years but not more than 25 years as on 31st December of the year of application.

Other Eligibility Conditions

This Pre Medical Entrance Exam can only be given by the candidates having Haryana domicile.

Indian Citizen of any of the following categories will be eligible to appear in the MBBS/BDS as Haryana Domicile.

• The candidates, who are bonafide residents of Haryana as per instructions issued by the Chief Secretary to Government of Haryana, Chandigarh.
  
  
• The children/wards (if parents are not living)/dependents of the employees of Indian Defence Services/para-Military Forces belonging to Haryana State at the time of entry into service as per their service record.
• (Such candidates will submit a certificate in the  prescribed proforma given in Appendix ‘E’ from the Officer duly authorized by the Army/Navy/Air Force/concerned para-Military Forces Headquarters, as the case may be).
  
  
• The children/wards (if parents are not living)/dependents of Ex-employees of Indian Defence Services/para-Military Forces belonging to Haryana State at the time of entry into service as per their service record who retired from service on or after first April of the preceding year of admission.
  
  
• (Such candidates will submit a certificate in the proforma given in Appendix ‘M’ from the Officer duly authorised by the Army/Navy/Air Force/concerned para-Military Forces Headquarters, as the case may be).
   
  
• The children/wards (if parents are not living)/dependents of Ex-employees of Indian Defence Services/para-Military Forces belonging to Haryana State at the time of entry into service as per their service record, provided the candidate has studied 10+2 class as a regular candidate in a recognised institution in Haryana.

How to apply for Haryana PMT Exam?

Aspiring candidate can apply by getting the prospectus containing eligibility condition domicile criteria, application form and OMR application cash payment of Rs.1200 (Rs.300 for SC/BC of Haryana only).

Request for prospectus through registered post must be received in the office of Deputy Registrar (Publication), M.D. University, Rohtak by sending a crossed Bank Draft of Rs.1250 (Rs.350 for SC/BC of Haryana only) drawn in favour of Finance Officer, MDU, Rohtak Payable at State Bank of India, MDU, Rohtak, Rohtak Branch (Code-4734) failing which the request will not be entertained.

Prospectus, application form and OMR application form can also be downloaded from University Website www.mdurohtak.com and should be accompanied with a bank draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, M.D. University, Rohtak Payable at Rohtak for Rs.1200 (Rs.300 for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only).

Haryana PMT Exam Syllabus

The Haryana PMT contains general syllabus of relevant subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology from classes 11th and 12th under the 10+2 scheme/pre-medical/intermediate science or an equivalent examination of the Punjab State Education Board/Indian University.

Haryana PMT Exam Pattern

The entrance test will be of 3 hours duration consisting of a total of 180 objectives type multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology as given below:-

Note: The medium of Entrance Examination will be English only.

Important: The paper shall carry a maximum of 720 marks. For every correct answer a candidate will get 4 marks and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.

Haryana PMT Exam Date

Haryana PMT entrance test is usually conducted in the first week of July of every year.

Examination fee for taking this exam is Rs.1200 (300 in case of SC/ST of Haryana Only) (cost of information brochure and application form).
