IMU-CET(MBA) - Indian Maritime University Combined Entrance Test

IMU- CET (MBA) 2013 - Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test acronym as IMU-CET is conducted by the School of Management, Indian Maritime university for providing admission to following courses at Chennai and Cochin Campuses:-

• MBA in Port and Shipping Management
• MBA in International Transportation and Logistics Management at IMU Chennai.

IMU-CET Exam Eligibility

The aspiring candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Differently Abled (DA) categories) awarded by  UGC approved University.

IMU-CET Exam Syllabus

IMU-CET (MBA) test consists of the questions from the subject given below:

Physics

Gravitation, Electromagnetic Induction and A.C., Electrons and Photons, Radioactivity, Semiconductors, Heat Radiation, Wave Motion and Sound, Fluids, S.H.M., Rotational Motion of a Rigid Body, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, Ray Optics, Wave Theory etc.

Chemistry

Nuclear and Radio Chemistry, Halogen Derivatives of Alkanes and organic hydroxy Compounds, Chemistry of Transition and Inner Transition Elements, Electrochemistry, Chemical Thermodynamics and Energetic, Nature of Chemical Bond II, Adsorption and Colloids, Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats, Chemical Kinetics, Coordination Chemistry etc.

Mathematics

Probability, Boolean algebra, linear in equations, limits and continuity, vector and 3-d geometry, matrices, statics & dynamics, indefinite integrals, definite integrals & its application, differential equations, etc.

Note:- All the question are of  Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2), level recognized by any state/national Board.

IMU-CET Exam Pattern (MBA)

The written question paper consists of only multiple choice type questions. There are four options available in each question, from which the candidates have to choose the correct one.

Written test will be followed by Interview and Medical test.

Successful candidates in the written exam must appear in an interview, which is conducted by the University. After the interview, the candidates are called for a medical test, which is conducted at various test centers. Final selection of the candidates is based on their performances in these three admission procedures.

IMU-CET Exam Dates

Indian Maritime University Combined Entrance Test for admission to MBA courses is normally held in the month of April every year.

IMU-CET Exam Validity

The IMU-CET test scores are valid for the admission to course during the same academic year only.

IMU-CET Exam Fee and mode of payment

IMU-CET (MBA) examination fee is Rs.1000/- only for the general category and Rs. 500/- for the SC/ST and other reserve categories. Candidate can pay application fee in the form of Demand draft in favour of “Indian Maritime University.”
