KMAT - Karnataka Management Aptitude Test
KMAT has been discontinued and replaced by CMAT held twice in a year.
KMAT 2013 - Karnataka Management Aptitude Test acronym as KMAT, is conducted by Karnataka Postgraduate Colleges’ Association (KPPGCA) for providing admission to the aspiring candidates into MBA ,PGDBM and MCA courses in over 169 self financing, University and AICTE approved colleges of Karnataka including some of the best like Acharya Institute of Management Science, Alliance Business Academy, Bangalore Institute of Management Studies, Garden City College of Science & Management Studies, M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, PES Institute of Technology & Management, R V Institute of Management, SDM College of Business Management to name a few.
KMAT Eligibility
Educational Qualification
Aspiring candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from any discipline i.e. science, humanities, commerce, computers etc. from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects.
KMAT Exam Syllabus
KMAT Exam consists of questions from:

- Language Comprehension
- Basic Aptitude
- Logical Reasoning
KMAT Exam Paper Pattern
KMAT Exam is an objective type multiple choice question based paper. The KMAT Exam has two patterns based on the paper chosen
Pattern for MBA paper only
There are 3 sections in MBA paper contain 120 questions:
- Language Comprehension: 40 Questions
- Mathematical Skills: 40 Questions
- Basic Aptitude: 40 questions
Pattern for MBA and MCA Combined Paper
There are 4 sections in MBA & MCA Combined paper contains 160 questions:
- Language Skills: 40 questions
- Mathematical Skills : 40 Questions
- Basic Aptitude: 40 Questions
- Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions
The duration of the exam is of 3 hrs.
How to apply for KMAT Exam?
Aspiring candidates can adopt any of the two modes i.e online or offline mode to apply for KMAT Exam. For the physical application/Off line mode candidate can buy the forms from the participating institutes. Whereas for Online mode candidates are supposed to visit the official website i.e www.kmatindia.com.
KMAT Exam Fee
The application fee for MBA or MCA is Rs. 500 and to apply for both, it is Rs. 600. Payable by a DD in Karnataka.
KMAT Exam Test Centers
KMAT will be held in 14 cities of Karnataka. The cities in which the test centers are located are
