What is AIPVT?
All India Pre-Veterinary test acronym as AIPVT is conducted to by CBSE on national basis to fill the 15% seats in medical and dental colleges run by central, state and municipal run governments. Due to its National level approach this test is taken by most of the medical aspirants on the priority basis.
What is the eligibility for taking AIPVT test?
The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. Those who are taking plus two examinations in present academic year can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.
Other eligibility Conditions:-
The candidate should have attained the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, of the year of examination. Candidates attaining seventeen Years on 1st of January or later will not be eligible to appear at the Entrance examination.
What are the contents of the exam?
The All India Pre Veterinary Test will consist of the general syllabus of Xlth and Xllth class under the 10+2 Scheme/Pre-Medical/Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination of an Indian University/ State Board/CBSE. There is no specific separate syllabus for the examination prescribed by the Council.
What is the pattern of the AI-PVT Exam?
The All India Pre Veterinary Test is of 3 hours duration and will have one paper consisting of 200 objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
When this exam is normally held?
AIPMT test is usually conducted in first week of May.
What is the examination fee for taking the exam?
Candidates should pay examination fee (Rs.800/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.400/- for SC/ST Category) through a Demand Draft in favour of the "Veterinary Council of India Examination Fund New Delhi", drawn on any scheduled Bank payable at New Delhi.
