What is Railway Non -Technical Cadre Exam?
Railway Non - Technical Cadre Exam acronym as RNTC is conducted every year by the different Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) situated across the country for the recruitment of the non-technical cadre in Class III (or Group C) services in the Indian railways on national basis to admit young candidates in Indian Railways. Due to its National level approach this test is taken by most of the eligible aspirants on the priority basis.
Important:-These Examinations are conducted for the positions such as Clerks, Assistant Station Masters, Ticket-Collectors, Train Clerks etc.
What is the eligibility for taking Railway Non -Technical Cadre Exam?
1. Educational Qualification
a. For the lowest grades to these categories the prescribed qualification is generally matriculation.
b. For some posts like Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Assistant Station Master,
Clerk Grade I, Guards, etc., prescribed qualification is a degree from a recognized University.
2. Age
18 years to 27 years.
What are the contents of the exam?
Non-Technical Cadre Examination Conducted By Indian Railway Recruitment Boards basically comprises of the following subjects:
1. General English (and/or Hindi)
2. Mathematics
3. General Knowledge
4. General Intelligence
The syllabus of the above mentioned subjects are given as under:
General English:
Questions on General English are designed to test the candidate's correct usage of prepositions, words and phrases, Comprehension, transformation of simple sentences, punctuation, tenses and parts of speech.
Mathematics:
Questions on Mathematics are designed to test accuracy and rapidity.
General Knowledge:
Candidates are expected to possess a broad knowledge of current events and matters of general interest, particularly relating to India, including Indian Railways.
General Intelligence:
Who's Who, Sports, Entertainment, Indian History and Geography, Discoveries and Inventions. Elementary Knowledge of Computers.
What is the pattern of the Exam?
The question paper will be bilingual, consisting of the objective questions in above given parts.
What are the test centers for taking the exam?
