About Amity Business School - ABS Noida

Amity Business School is a private business school in India. It is part of Amity University. It is managed by Amity Education Group which has over two decades of experience in the field of education with over 50,000 students currently studying. Also known as Amity Global Business School, it offers Industry Oriented Management Programmes designed by leading academicians and corporate world members. Amity Business School reside in a 1.25 acre campus.

Location - It is located on a 60 acre campus in the National Capital Region of New Delhi.

Facilities

Hostel - The Hostel at Amity provides rooms which are well furnished, airy, with attached bathrooms, proper house keeping facilities, telephone facilities and are equipped with a number of other amenities as well. Accommodations are separate for boys & girls.

Library - The Library has 13,129 titles of books (31,753 Vol.) , 97 national and 16 international journals covering all aspects of management studies, with a separate section for audio & video CDs. The ABS Library is also a member of British Council Library and American Centre Library. The Syndicate Rooms provide the right setting to the students for important brain storming sessions.

Classroom - The classrooms provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions. They have been designed to bring together analysis with action and are augmented by well-equipped facilities. The air-conditioning in the classrooms creates the right atmosphere for long hours of learning.

Computer Centre - The state-of-the-art technology in our Computer Centre comprises the following :

  1. 72 PCs with inbuilt Pentium processors based on HP/IBM/HCL machines and 310 compaq notebooks.
  2. The entire network rests on four (Firewall, Intranet, Mail, Attachments File & Print) HP and IBM servers.
  3. The student and faculty members can access the Internet throughout the campus with the help of broadband radio link and ISDN line backup.
  4. E-Mail facilities are available for faculty and students.
  5. Latest software is available to enable the students to work on data analysis, web technologies and software designing.
  6. The ABS intranet truly automates the process of execution and enables smooth movement of data across departments.

Amity Scholarship Scheme - Various Scholarship Schemes are:

Scholarships for Programmes after 10+2

  • 100% Scholarship - Eligibility - 93% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education, Fine Arts & Performing Arts) in CBSE or ICSE Board of Class XII, 2010.
  • 50% Scholarship - Eligibility - 88% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education, Fine Arts & Performing Arts) in CBSE or ICSE Board of Class XII, 2010.

Scholarships for Programmes after Graduation

  • 100% Scholarship - Eligibility - Students securing 93% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education, Fine Arts & Performing Arts) in CBSE/ ICSE Board of Class XII and 80% in Graduation.
  • 50% Scholarship - Eligibility - Students securing 88% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education, Fine Arts & Performing Arts) in CBSE/ ICSE Board of Class XII and 75% in Graduation.  

These Scholarships do not include - Refundable security deposit, boarding and lodging cost and cost of laptop (wherever applicable)

Scholarship seats are limited. The mentioned percentages are only the eligibility to apply for scholarship. Candidates securing above percentages are required to fill Amity Application form. In absence of relevant mark sheets direct admission and scholarship application will not be considered. Final decision of granting scholarship is with the scholarship committee. Scholarship is granted on annual basis and continuation in second and further years of the program is subject to scholarship policy. To continue availing 100% scholarship student must secure position in top 5% of the merit list for the program. For continuation of 50% scholarship, student will have to secure position in top 10% of the merit list for the program.

Seminar Hall - There is an ultra-modern Seminar Hall with a seating capacity of 300.The Hall is well equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual and presentation tools to facilitate smooth presentations etc.

Auditorium - A totally equipped, state of the art auditorium with a seating capacity of 600 is part of the ultra modern infrastructure at Amity. It provides the ideal setting for management events and corporate interaction programmes. ABS uses this facility of other Amity Institutions.

Sports - To enable students to enjoy sports, the campus is equipped with an Olympic size running track, football field, cricket field, basket ball & tennis courts, table tennis tables etc. And for those who are interested in equestrian, there is a separate Horse Riding Academy.

Medical Facilities - A tie-up with Apollo Hospital, Kailash Hospital and other Hospitals has been worked out to take care of emergencies. Students at ABS are also covered by a comprehensive Medical Insurance, to meet all kinds of exigencies.
    
Cafeteria - A modern gourmet class, air-conditioned restaurant offers variety of Indian, Chinese and continental snacks and meals to cater to the multi-ethnic tastes of the students.There are special counters for ice-creams, shakes and delicious chaat.

Grievance Redressal Mechanism - Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students. A student Feedback box is kept under the personal supervision of the Director. The information is strictly confidential and any related grievances are addressed in a very expedient manner. Any matter relating to the staff members is reported to the Administrative officer and any proceedings if initiated, are reported to the Director for his approval.

Corporate Interaction and Placements - In the Corporate Resource Centre there is a whole dedicated team which works together with the student placement committee to ensure that the best companies come to campus. Amity has one of the most advanced online recruitment system which is regularly used by HR heads. The award winning recruitment brochure is sent to more than 2,000 HR heads all across the globe. Some of the companies where Amitians are employed are ABN Amro, Accenture, Adobe Systems etc.
     
Research - Amity has conducted ground breaking and innovative research in various spheres, which the industry is using to its advantage. The research has been facilitated by the various Centres of Excellence and the faculty, which has been very prolific in publishing books, articles and papers on topical issues.

Committees and Clubs - ABS has Committees and Clubs in various functional areas in which students perform in Inter/Intra Institutional activities under the able guidance of their Faculties. A number of events are organized by these bodies with an overwhelming participation from the students and weightage of these is given in their internal assessment.

Various Committees and Clubs are:

  1. Alumni Committee - The strength of Amity Business School is its Alumni Family. The Alumni Committee regularly performs the function of maintaining constant and close touch with those members of the Amity family who are now corporate trendsetters.
  2. CRC Committee - The Corporate Resource Centre acts as an interface between the industry, academia and the students. The CRC Committee organises various activities like Corporate Meets, TRENDS, Panel Discussions, CEO’s Forum, Guest Lectures, Industry Visits and Career Counselling.
  3. Placement Committee - The Placement Committee shoulders the responsibility of matching the career aspirations of the students with that of Industry requirements.
  4. PR and Outreach Committee - It helps in bridging the gap between ABS and the outside world. The committee is in charge of various publications like the TRENDS Magazine, which gives an insight into the major events that have taken place at the ABS campus in one calendar year.
  5. Debating Club - ‘To be a good manager you need to be a good communicator’. To help the students achieve these skills, the ‘Debating Club’ was set up. The club endeavours to help students imbibe in them the requisite qualities and become passionate yet confident and intelligent speakers.
  6. Finance Club - The aim is to inculcate the finer nuances of Finance, its management and control, to achieve all round prosperity and development. The Finance Club organises activities like the stock simulation game, monthly display on the bulletin board highlighting the main financial events and features, maintaining continuous interaction with financial institutions and attending finance related seminars and quiz contests.
  7. HR Club - The HR Club aims to equip the budding managers with HR skills through role plays, psychometric tests and workshops.
  8. IT Club - This is the era of ‘Information Technology’. To get an edge over others in the ensuing age, one needs to be ‘IT SAVVY’irrespective of one’s field. The IT Club propagates this message on the campus of Amity Business School and infuses IT awareness and knowledge in the students.
