MET (Mumbai Educational Trust) Institute of Management is part of the MET League of Colleges located in Mumbai. Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) is a public charitable trust established in 1989 with a mission to redefine the education system in India. Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal - Chairman and Mr. Sunil G. Karve - Vice Chairman are the founder trustees of MET. MET-IOM is amongst the fastest growing B-schools in India. At MET, students are treated as managers under training. Training is imparted round the- clock, seven days a week. Projects and assignments are given utmost importance and students learn on the job. MET, Mumbai is just a stone's throw away from the Arabian Sea. It has a wi-fi campus with state-of-the-art AC classrooms. MMS (Master of Management Studies) admissions are done under centralised entrance test conducted of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) who receive the applications, conduct the test and send the list of students for admissions.

MMM/ MFM/ MHRDM/ MIM - 3 year part-time Masters Degree programmes affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
MMM - Masters in Marketing Management.

Facilities
Scholarships - Under MET Merit Freeship Award every year two scholarships are granted to two students who are economically weak and have good academic record.
Criteria for fee waivers/scholarships:
- Domicile of Maharashtra State.
- Must fulfil the eligibility criteria for admission as laid down under the respective course.
- Must fulfil the State Govt. criteria of Economically Weaker section.
- Must possess academic and qualifying merit.
Launch Pad - In this module Met has tried to familiarize the students the sights, sounds and realities of the postgraduate management learning systems. In this program the teachers and the students view themselves as one ‘body and soul’ to reach out to the core of the knowledge they seek.
SIMPAT - School for Indian Management Philosophy and Applied Technology. A project that returns to the roots of Indian management philosophy, SIMPAT makes yesteryear’s wisdom available to India’s managers and leaders.
UN ECOSOC Internship Program – A unique initiative promoted by us ensuring placement of dozen of students as interns at the UN ECOSOC Council, New York to gain experience in the UN Missions and program as well as enrich their cross cultural capabilities.
Metaphor - MET’s Schools of Management Journal. This magazine addresses some of the issues faced by the industry and commerce worldwide, as contributed by students and faculty.
MET on Wheels - A pioneering concept where MET students visit organisations in industrial verticals across the country in order to study practical management learnings.
Mumbai Retail Profiler - It is an outcome of survey conducted amongst retailers and consumers (actually doing purchase) between Andheri to Mahim (W).
METEX - It is an open forum for exchange of ideas between students-faculty-industry experts. It helps students gain live exposure to business and commercial issues viewed from multiple angles.
Project TRUTH - Total Rural Upliftment Through Holistic Care is MET initiative scripted by me for presentation to UN ECOSOC Conference in Mumbai in February 2003. It aims at uplifting the quality of life tribals located at Waliv, Thane District. It was also presented at UN Forum. The students, faculty of MET along with other NGOs are participating in the program.
Math Hour - In order to develop quantitative logic, analytical approach and model building capability, to the discipline of management, to seek management solutions, quantitative experts share their learnings with students and offer continuous guidance.
CRM Forum - Customer Relationship Management is increasingly gaining importance among business practitioners and academics. As technologies and customers expectations rapidly change, industry realizes the value of having long term relationship with individual customers and other business partners. This is promoted by this forum consisting of students, faculty and industry professionals.
METCOMBAT - Innovative minds at work, have designed a debating program called METCOMBAT. It is competitive event where two teams debates, analyse and present on a current affairs topic.
MET Mentoring Program – A participatory student, faculty and alumni interaction aimed at improving the networking capability as well as counselling the students to build up their confidence level and industry knowledge.
MET Internship program – Under this program every student is placed with industry with a partnering industry throughout the program. The students are expected to work as professional in the making offering their ideas and inputs to industry and share the work ethic.
Conferences / Symposiums - Some of these are :
- ‘Celebrity Branding’ – Marketing Meet to discuss the importance of Celebrity Branding in advertising organized at MET with industry participation, February 2007.
- Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) – A workshop arranged in participation with Israeli Consul General and Indo Israel Chamber of Commerce conducted by Prof. Erez Tsalik, University of TEL Aviv, for development of innovative thought processes January 2007.
- National Conference on Retail sector, Udaipur, November 2006.
- Gandhi and the Mission of Peace – A workshop organised on Global popularisation of Gandhiji’s philosophy in participation with Dr. Hope Fitz, Professor University of Eastern Connecticut, USA, October 2006.
China Study Mission - MET students undertake a comparative study of Chinese industrial powerhouses. Three batches of management students have visited cities in important industrial areas in China with a focus on the Special Economic Zones and the strategically important centres like Zhon Shan, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shunde amongst others. Through this initiative, MET hopes to build a stronger bond between the Indian & Chinese industry.
YCMOU-MET M Phil Study Centre (Commerce and Management) - MET is an M Phil Study Centre for Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. The centre offers the M Phil programme in Commerce and Management.

Entrepreneurship Cell - The MET eCell view entrepreneurship as a four stage development process beginning with germination of ideas followed by incubation of the idea as a rough draft. Child stage aims towards giving the right direction to this rough draft which will shape into a formal business plan. Youth, the final stage of the process focuses on making the entrepreneur's dream a reality. MET eCell members are taught to analyse situation. MET eCell believes in "Network To Increase Networth."
Placement programme - MET Placements focus completely on ensuring that the students get placed in companies where they fit in intellectually and culturally. Over 75% recruiters have returned this year, because of the alumni performance. Many of MET students have gone overseas this year to play the role of global managers in international companies. The highest package this year was Rupees one and a half million p.a. Some of the recruiters are ABN Amro Bank, AC Nielsen, ORG-MARG, Adlabs, American Express Bank, Accenture etc.
Alumni Relations Cell - Over the years, MET has established a strong alumni base of sharp METizens many of whom occupy senior positions in the corporate world. The alumni exude the values that MET imbibed in them during their academic halt.
