There are certain Holidays which are known as Gazetted Holidays. These Holidays are declared as per the circular issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Gazetted Holidays have a great significance amongst both the Employers and the Employees. This is the time when they can schedule their Holidays, Functions, Events and Chores in advance. In the List of Gazetted Holidays for 2016, there are certain consecutive dates on which one can schedule any of their activities. Consecutive gazetted holidays fall in the month of March and the dates are 24th (Thursday) and 25th (Friday) followed by 26th (Saturday) and 27th (Sunday) which are not gazetted holidays. Then in the month of October, 11th (Tuesday) and 12th (Wednesday) are Gazetted Holidays, one can take furthermore advantage of these if one can apply for leave/holiday on dates preceding these i.e. 8th (Saturday) and 10th (Monday), amongst these dates comes 9th which is Sunday.
