AICET approved 7,164 more Engineering Seats for Gujarat.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved 7,164 more in the Gujarat colleges. The total number of seats in engineering colleges has increased to 70,105.

Earlier there were total 62,951 engineering seats but after 6 new colleges --three in Ahmadabad, and one each from Rajkot, Vallabh Vidyanagar and Navsari, the, 1800 seats more came on offer.

According to officials, some of these new colleges will also receive approval to offer diploma courses.
