Copy Writer as the name its suggestion is the professional writer who write  attractive and catchy contents keeping in mind  the demand of a particular advertisment campaign.

The main function of the advertisement is to lure the public to consume the advertised goods or services by presenting their bright side in an attractive manner. This has posed a challenge for the marketers to lure the probable consumer in a cut-throat competition. This has made the marketers and producers of the goods and services necessitate a different approach to win over the consumer. This little word “different” is responsible for making a full-fledged advertisement industry. How to become a Copy Writer?

To become a Copy Writer, one has to follow the below given steps

Step 1

Interested candidate has to appear in an entrance tests conducted by the various Institutions/Universities etc providing Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma of 1 or 2 years . Apart from this there are also short term certificate courses.

However some colleges also give admission on the basis of % of marks obtained in the qualifying class

Step 2

After completing this 1-2 years of course in which one has to go through all the major aspects of the advertising field one can join some advertising agency or start his own business of creating advertisements by tying up with the organization already doing good in this field.

Copy Writer Career Prospects and Job Opportunities

Enormous employment opportunities are available for Copy riter in private as well as public relations organizations of the state and the Centre Governments. Career opportunities in this field would depend on an individual’s area of specialization and capabilities to produce the master pieces. Copywriter Jobs are available in the advertising agencies, tourist agencies, etc. Nowadays they can find work even with individuals like political figures, models and film stars to write short slogans for them as they want their rallies, concerts or shows to be organized with full professional way.

As far as salary and  other remunerations of a Copy Writer are concerned the fresh professinal can get anything between Rs.10,000 to Rs.20,000. After gaining some on job experience one can earn as good as Rs.25,000 per month and more. If one goes for his own business he can get anywhere near Rs.1,00,000 per catch line. All these monetary gains depend upon one’s own ability.
