Hair Dresser also known as Hair Stylist is a skilled professional apt to give certain specific style to hairs of the individuals. Once adopted by only a particular clan of the society and looked down upon by rest, the profession of Hair Dressing or Hairstylist has suddenly attained a good respect for itself. Educational Qualification
10+2 in any stream with some foreign language as an advantage.
Age
Above 18 Yrs.
Join any of the reputed Training cum commercial Academy like Academy of Hair Styling, Mumbai (Maharashtra) or Shahnaz Husian International Beauty Academy, New Delhi( Delhi ) to name a couple to do this course of Hair Dressing
The course provides you with the expertise in:
- Shampoo and Scalp Treatment.
- Braiding, Curling, Finger Waving & Sectioning of hair.
- Knowledge about Trichology and pH scale.
- Roller setting of hair.
- Hair cutting techniques using clippers, razors, shears etc.
- Application of wigs and hair extensors and highly in demand in recent year ie. Hair Coloring and perming along with Hair waving.
Step 3
After getting this Certificate one can join a Saloon of repute or can also start his own business on small scale.
Important:- If one is seeking to build his/her career in some overseas country then he/she should be apt in English language and must be able to clear the IELTS exam with specified bands.

Hair Dressers can work with beauty parlours ranges from luxurious salons at five star hotels. Certified Hair Dresser can expect to get upto Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 per month to start with. Little experience and knowledge can get anywhere near Rs.20,000 to Rs.25,000. And if one is capable to get job in some overseas countries then he can earn as high as Rs.1,00,000 per month and that is still not the limit for the dedicated professionals. But all this depends upon one’s own ability and capacity to do work.
