To become an IAS officer one has to take Civil Services Exam , the minimum qualification for taking Civil Services Exam one has to be at least a graduate. Thus after +2 you have to join some degree college to get the necessary Bachelor’s degree to be eligible to take Civil Service Exam for IAS. After completion of graduation one has to follow the procedure given below:

Thirdly, If you are able to clear Civil Services Prilimanry Exam, take Civil Services Main Exam. (Top Students will be called for Personal Interview nearly Ten times the number of Post)

Finally, Once done with Main Exam you will be called by UPSC for Personality Test and Personal interview.

Finally, selected candidates will be absorbed in the Civil Services according to their choice and  final ranking , like if you prefer IPS and have good ranking you will be able to get the post.
